ok i am 22 years old and i really want to learn how to play guitar and maybe someday join a band.
am i too old to start…..i know the music industry can be harsh and it will take years to become noticed.
i am into rock music like breaking benjamin etc. etc.
anyways
well any advice on how to learn about guitar brands, how to play and know the notes to a guitar.
i mean someone please help me on how to start learning about EVERYTHING on guitars.
i just realize that i want to be a musician. and for me guitars are the hardest instument to learn in my opinion.
and if someone can give me some beginner pointers for dummies that would be great!
also how long will it take for me to fully learn the instrument???????????????????

Okay, calm down! You’re never ‘too old’ to learn how to play a musical instrument. It’s true younger children can learn new things more easily, but that’s true of all things, not just music.
The most important thing here is to focus on the music, and not getting famous. It’s hard enough to to learn guitar without the pressure of trying to get discovered. I think it’s interesting you’ve already decided to be a rock star and you have no clue how to play. Open up your mind a bit and allow yourself to really fall in love with music and more specifically the guitar. Your plans might fall through if it turns out you really hate it!
Find a private instructor or take a class because learning guitar on your own might be a little too daunting.
It will take awhile, so be patient. Music is a complex thing, and not something that can be taught in a three-step process.
