Play by ear is a unique ability to listen to a song and play. I remember when I learned to play, I would use a book to learn the finger positions major agreements. Then one day (after 3 months) have been urging me in the "A" in agreement and I recognized a song of Elvis Presley. I was immediately available to play countless songs after that, listening on the radio. This happened 16 years ago.
