Any bluegrass fan will tell you there's nothing like the noise a dobro. It seems that the guitar, plays like a steel guitar and adds a unique dimension to a song. Here we will see in the beginning of the design and history use in the registration and perform.

John dopiera invented the resonator guitar around 1920 on the basis an application for the steel guitar great George Beauchamp. Together, formed the National String Instrument Corporation and is manufactured under a national brand.

National dopiera left in 1928 and formed the Dobro Manufacturing Company with his three brothers. The name "Dobro" is a contraction of "Brothers dopiera." This means also "good" in the Slovak language. The word "Dobro" is now used in reference to a resonator guitar, regardless of manufacturer.

The Dobro was introduced to country music in the early 1930s by the brother Oswald shy while playing with Roy Acuff and the Smoky Mountain Boys. In this genre, the Dobro steel guitar has largely replaced the dobro. However, still used today, only a little less.

Around this same period, Dobros have been used by musicians like Bukka White Blues and the legendary Bo Carter. This was especially in the southern United States around Louisiana and Mississippi Delta. Most players were using acoustic guitars, but the electricity is rare in large venues and dobro was stronger, so the decision to live blues artists.

This was important since the dobro is normally played as a portable instrument. These blues musicians began playing guitar as standard, standing. Because of the high string action, they all used a slide or "bottleneck" in the handle. The sound is nice and is still heard today in the kind of Southern blues.

In mid-1950, a guy named Josh Graves presented dobro bluegrass. The effect was great and dobro music became a staple of bluegrass overnight. Graves had played with Flatt & Scruggs at the time. Taken Earl Scruggs-style finger three to pick up the banjo and dobro applied. This is how we played today with an exception notable in Tut Taylor, who uses a range of plans.

As you can see, the dobro is a creation of all Americans with roots in the southern United States. The inventor, John dopiera, was an immigrant, but his mark in the music world with this instrument. First, manufacturing with George Beauchamp then with his brothers and coined the name "dobro".

Beauchamp tried to usurp the name, but after much legal wrangling, dopiera took control of the company Beauchamp. Gibson Guitar Corporation acquired the right to the Dobro in 1993, claiming that retains the rights to the trademark "Dobro." Gibson and manufactures several models under the Dobro name, some cheaper models Hound Dog and Epiphone and others online.

Dobro is a sweet music your ears and the instruments are a feast for the eyes. Although played today, it is better to listen to the great players of the decade of 1920, 30 and 40.
