Play Guitar With David Bowie

Help I have no idea and its bugging the crap outta me! The song starts with a wah wah guitar sound similar to Voodoo Chile (slight return) by hendrix, the chicka-chicka type effect. Then it goes into a sugary pop song with the main lyrics sounding like “gotta get me to the church on time” and then backup singers singing “Church on time, church on time”. I thought it might have been David Bowie singing but I could totally be wrong. It sounds like an eighties hit and it’s played quite frequently on radio stations. Doesn’t sound new at all. I tried looking up “Church on Time” lyrics but all that is is My Fair Lady crap. Thanks and I hope my description makes some sense!
