Why two people or two different instruments Sound?
If you play C # on guitar, violin and keyboards, each sound is different, but have the same frequency and amplitude. Is that the wavelength of the sound are two different sounds? Are there other properties of sounds that can be explain why it seems quite different from my brother, even though we speak the same frequency?
The reason is that the instruments do not play not just one frequency. They play different frequency (especially harmonics of the fundamental frequency) at many levels of volume. Different instruments playing different sets of frequencies, so they sound different. People sound different for the same reason, the size and shape of the mouth and sinuses affect the frequencies that occur when a person speaks (or sings).
