Hey….i am a singer/guitar player…and i can write music A LITTLE……umm i absolutly love music,,,,and i really have my heart set on being famous…like signing autographs and gicing back to the world…..i need tips on how to start my music career..(i play rock/pop rock) music

Try starting off by getting yourself noticed. I suggest Youtube or something like that because it gives people a chance to tell you what they think about your music and give you feedback. It’ll also help you get used to criticism from the general public. If they think your talented enough, you’ll start getting some fans who will help you out and support you. Upload a video or two of you singing either your own song or do a cover of someone else’s song. This should give you a decent start on your overall goal since tons of celebs today started off youtube or myspace. If you really want to risk it and just try going straight to the top, you’ll need a demo tape so you can try recording something off your computer using a basic recording program and a mic. Contact a record company near you and try to meet with their AnR guy and talk to him about getting signed. Their job is to find undiscovered, and marketable acts. I really don’t know how far you already are in your career so I can’t go into further detail. It’s extremely hard to get famous these days and these are just a few ideas you can try. But if your talking about a different kind of ‘start’ then you can try auditioning for american/canadian idol or something like that. Look on their websites for more detail.
