How long does it take to learn to play guitar?

I know it depends on you practice, I've just started guitar lessons how long I understand and I know what tab strings are different and I learn a few chords. However, I am a little confused in gettting group lessons, the teacher is giving more information than I think we need at this stage (pentatonic scales at week 4, for example). I think I need to be corrected and whether the practice some chords regularly for half an hour a day, how long will it take me to control this? I think it was right to take lessons. Everyone is frustrated. Learning an instrument should be a pleasure, but not 100% of the time. Stay away from websites for a month or two. Web is a very material after it has additional bases and comfortable. Remember that the teacher has much more experience than you.
