You&#8217;re never &#8216;too old&#8217; to learn how to play a musical instrument.  It&#8217;s true younger children can learn new things more easily, but that&#8217;s true of all things, not just music.<\/p>\n<p>The most important thing here is to focus on the music, and not getting famous.  It&#8217;s hard enough to to learn guitar without the pressure of trying to get discovered.  I think it&#8217;s interesting you&#8217;ve already decided to be a rock star and you have no clue how to play.  Open up your mind a bit and allow yourself to really fall in love with music and more specifically the guitar.  Your plans might fall through if it turns out you really hate it!<\/p>\n<p>Find a private instructor or take a class because learning guitar on your own might be a little too daunting.<\/p>\n<p>It will take awhile, so be patient.  Music is a complex thing, and not something that can be taught in a three-step process.<\/p>\n<p>Relax.  Have fun.
